Job Description:
Edward Consulting is seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Engagement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders, developing community-based programs, enhancing the visibility and impact of our educational consulting services, and promoting the organization’s mission. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual who can effectively engage with diverse communities, and coordinate and manage events to ensure active participation and support.
The Community Engagement Officer will manage the company’s brand and image. The individual will work with the Creative Designer to create and publish content on all media platforms, reviewing social media and other marketing metrics to build and improve campaign strategies. They will be responsible for crafting responses to customers’ feedback and messages on various platforms such as social media and emails with support from the team. They will report directly to the Educational Lead.
The role is for an individual with strong experience in content creation and reel creation, a solid sales background, the ability to communicate confidently, build rapport, and also be ambitious, creative, driven, innovative, and able to identify opportunities and take initiative.
The Community Engagement Officer needs to understand the organization’s mission and vision to play an instrumental role in achieving them. This role also provides opportunities to travel nationally and internationally to represent the organization. Key Responsibilities:
1. Community Outreach and Engagement:
  • Develop and implement community outreach strategies to connect with clients, students, parents, and the international education community.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and engagement opportunities.
  • Organize and attend community events, forums, and meetings to promote Edward Consulting’s mission and services.
2. Program Development and Implementation:
  • Design and execute community-based programs and initiatives that support educational improvement and community involvement.
  • Collaborate with the Edward Consulting team to integrate community feedback into program development and service offerings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community programs, making adjustments as necessary.
3. Partnership Building:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Edward Consulting alumni, clients, local schools, educational institutions, and other community stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that align with Edward Consulting’s goals and values with direction from the Head of Strategy.
  • Coordinate with partners to develop joint initiatives and events that enhance educational outcomes.
4. Communication and Public Relations:
  • Maintain active and engaging communications with community members through various channels.
  • Develop and distribute communication materials, including newsletters, social media content, and press releases, to engage and inform the community with support from the Creative Designer and Educational Consultants.
  • Represent Edward Consulting at community meetings, conferences, and other public forums locally and internationally.
  • Advocate for community needs and interests within the organization, ensuring they are reflected in our strategies and actions.
  • Social media and content strategy with support from the Creative Lead and the filming of the reel and other media content necessary to promote the brand and our services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and concerns. Acting as a liaison between the organization and the community, ensuring clear and effective communication of initiatives, policies, and feedback.
5. Event Coordination:
  • Plan, organize, and manage community events such as workshops, seminars, and games nights with clients.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, marketing, registration, and on-site management.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from event participants to inform future events and activities.
6. Data Collection and Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and report on data related to community engagement activities and outcomes to inform future strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders to measure and demonstrate the impact of community engagement efforts.
  • Use data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement and to create new tailored service offerings to clients.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field like Education, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree is a bonus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related role, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting but not limited to this. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and to give presentations.
  • Proven experience in program development, project management, and event management. 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using social media and other digital communication tools for reel and content creation. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to positive impact. 
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and tech-savvy.
  • Ad-hoc support for partner engagement.
