MPOWER and Edward Consulting are two organizations dedicated to assisting African international students to realize their aspirations for quality education abroad. The Scholarship Initiative aims to empower and aid international students in their quest for education excellence in the United States and Canada, acknowledging education’s profound influence on individual lives and communities.
Having secured over $16.7 million/N18.3 billion in scholarships for our clients to attend top schools globally such as Columbia, MIT, Duke, LBS, Oxford, UPenn, Cambridge, and many others, we at Edward Consulting are super excited to now be on the end of those giving a scholarship to support African International students with their dreams of getting quality education abroad.
The primary mission of this Scholarship Initiative is to break down barriers and make high-quality education accessible to 7 African international students who have secured admission to study for any masters program in the United States or Canada for the Fall 2024 intake or are currently enrolled in a masters program and will be starting their second year in Fall2024. For applicants to be eligible, they must have applied and have been approved for an MPOWER study loan through Edward Consulting.
To apply, please use the following criteria as a guide:
- You must have admission for amasters program at an MPOWER-eligible school. Use the link to confirm eligible school
- You must be of African nationality
- You must apply for an MPOWER study loan through Edward Consulting
- You must have final approval on your MPOWER loan application
- You must be applying for Fall 2024
- If you are in your second year, you must be applying for a fresh MPOWER loan through Edward Consulting. Use this link to start your loan application.

- Admission Letter to MPOWER schools
- MPOWER Study Loan Approval
- Online Application Form
- 2 Essay Questions
- Valid International Passport
Terms and Conditions:
- You must have secured a study visa to the US or Canada and resumed full-time at your school for the scholarship to be disbursed.
- Only one scholarship application is allowed to be submitted.
- Scholarship funds would be directly disbursed to the school and not be sent to the recipient’s bank account.
- MPOWER and Edward Consulting reserve the right to use the information received in the application for promotion purposes.
- Recipients would be required to provide headshot photographs.
- Upon resumption at your school overseas, you cannot decide to forgo your MPOWER loan.
